With Barnet beginning there third season at the Hive this was to be my first visit to the stadium and to watch Barnet playing at home, as I never managed to take in a match at their former ground, Underhill. Oddly enough our Sat Nav directed us to Barnets old ground, Underhill and so we had to find the post code for the new stadium, but as it was it was only a few minutes away. I had been to Underhill once before but only on the way to watch a cricket match at Lords and so I was glad that I was able to see it again. On arrival at the Hive, we managed to park right beside the stand that we would be housed in (only about 20 yards away to be exact). Oddly enough for a club of its size it had two club shops, one in the East Stand and one behind the South Terrace. I was sure that the club shop and ticket office which sat next door outside the South Terrace were relocated from the old stadium as I remember seeing them on my one and only visit there.

The thing that I remember most from the match was Barnets second and winning goal. It was in the 97 minute that my Uncle and I decided to head back to te car to make a quick exit. whilst we were leaving we pulled up beside the corner of the South Terrace just so that we could see the last few minutes of the game, but it seemed to go on for ages. What happened next was one of the most entralling moment I have ever experienced whilst being a football fan. The referee blew his whistle for a penalty, but as it ws down our end we could not see the goal. I jumped out of the car and ran right up to the other corner of the stand and just managed to get inside in time to see the penalty being scored. Althugh I am not a Barnet supporter and had never seen them playing a home befor, I went crazy with excitment at the goal.
